Photographic Course for Kids (or Adults)

After giving successful photo courses to
kids living in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv,
Israel, I am back in Johannesburg and
would love to offer the same courses here.
The course is aimed at expanding the
creativity that is within each child or
adult.
The class will be
begin at 9am with the theory presented in
a way that is fun for children.
The course will have three components:
- Theory
- Practical
- Introduction to
Photoshop
Theory
- The beginning of
photography
- Understanding
cameras and digital photography
- Using the camera
and settings
- Aperture, speed,
ISO
- Fast photography,
slow photography
- Bright light
photography, low light photography
- Understanding the
lens and how to shoot for the occasion
Practical
- Learning
street photography
- The practical
photography will take place in an
interesting venue, for children to
explore and be creative (under strict
supervision). Or it can be done in your
surroundings after the Zoom course.
- How to interact
with people and to take their photo
- How to see images –
composition and perspective
Introduction
to Photoshop
- All candidates will
learn basic Photoshop skills so that
they can optimise their photographs:
- The skills taught
will include tools such as brightening,
contrast, shadow/highlight, sharpening
and more…
General
The course is targeted
at children between the ages of 7 – 10 and
11- 15
Each group is limited to 6 kids.

Meeting Point
The meeting point will
be at my house at 59 2nd Avenue, Talboton,
then onto Victoria Yards for the
practical.
COVID-19 Guidelines during the tour
- First off, I am
vaccinated with the Phizer vaccination.
- Prior to each trip,
the vehicle will be cleaned and
sanitized for the trip. This is done
for every trip to ensure sanitization.
- In my vehicle, I
will supply as I do all my guests, masks
and sanitizer. Sanitizers are placed on
both sides of the doors of the guests.
- Before getting into
my vehicle, we will sanitize all hands.
During the trip we will come into
contact with people and we will as much
as possible keep to social distancing.
Children may come and do an elbow
greeting.
- We will take
sanitizer with us always.
Please Note:
All precautions will be taken but it must
be recognized that there is a World
Pandemic and I or anyone cannot be
responsible in the case of contacting
Covide-19.
It can be contracted on the way to the
airport, on a plane or anywhere. BUT with
the right attitude and precautions, It can
be very much avoided.
